Pat Means, M.A.

I have an M.A. degree in Psychology/Mental Health Counseling from Antioch University Seattle, with further training on addiction and codependency from The Meadows Treatment Center in Wickenburg, Arizona. My counseling experience includes thirteen years providing psychotherapy and/or addiction recovery services to individuals and couples in a variety of clinical settings, from community mental health to private practice. I’ve served as director of a Seattle area addiction treatment agency, a recovery magazine editor, and am the author of Men’s Secret Wars (Revell, 1999), and The Boundaries Book (Crossroads, 2005). My professional memberships include the American Counseling Association, the National Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors, the Society for the Psychological Study of Men and Masculinity, and the Society for the Advancement of Sexual Health.
